I wanted to practise with painting skin in softer shades. I liked the idea and planned to add colour at the end but then I thought it would distract a bit from the message (and I also suck at colours XD )

Thank you! no it's not from any of their stories, it's just an image that I imagined. Yes, it is kind of sad but it also has a glimpse of hope in it, because the love of her husband is there to comfort her

Oh wow... the Brothers Grimm wrote such a story O.o ? I guess I've only been exposed to the mild part of their fantasy literature

Um let me see it was tittled "The Girl with No Hands" it was a rather freaky story but interesting to some point. And yeah from what I've read they had some messed up stories but I'm also reading the "Philip Pullman Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm New English version"
